Graphic Design

After 30+ years in graphic design forgive us if we start with a piece of advice. Start each design project with the assumption that no one is listening. The role of the design agency and core function of commercial graphic design is problem-solve this very modern challenge by helping brands, products and people attract attention, retain interest and build meaningful connections with staff, customers, prospects and potential recruits.

Because design, closely allied to innovation, is – now more than ever – the key to standing out and maintaining competitiveness in increasingly testing markets. And that applies however large or small a business you are. Graphic design helps businesses connect strongly with customers by anticipating their real needs. That in turn gives companies the ability to set themselves apart in increasingly tough markets and also set the pace rather than just responding to the competition.

Branding

Visions and values, purpose and mission, logo’s, websites, brochures, advertising and packaging. The world is surrounded by what most of us see as branding. But where does it come from, what is it supposed to do? Well here comes your free bit of brand consultancy. Ask yourself these three questions. Who are we? What do we do? And why does that matter? Unless you have a convincing answer for each of these then all that stuff we started with, you can ignore because quite simply you haven’t got a brand.

Branding has never been more important, but what it is and what it needs to do has changed dramatically. What used to be and exercise in creating ‘different’ in a world of plenty is now an exercise in staying ‘relevant’ in a world of constant change. That is our job. To help our clients understand what their brand stands for, what it stands against, why that matters, and where it should go next. Sable&Hawkes – brand agency that delivers intelligent and experienced insight to get our clients where they need to be.
